From looking at the latest financials report, AMP is making cost-cutting as a high priority.
Most of the underlying growth in the business seems flat on first glance.
Furthermore, the capital return is sending a signal that they are not interested in reinvesting capital to find ways of getting revenue and earnings growth on track.
Until AMP can find a way of getting everyone excited about the company such as using excess capital in developing new products and services or even a left-field acquisition within their sector, I think the share price will continue to stagnate.
Maybe it wasn't worth my time looking at the presso. But I'm hoping someone here may find some positives with AMP.
Having said that, I have been looking at AMP as a turnaround play. But unfortunately I can't see any right now.
