In an uncertain world and with the market seemingly pretty toppy I'm seeking to diversify my holdings with some ballast. I would like to buy some income paying stocks with defensive characteristics which would hold value in a pullback and provide liquidity to buy up more of my favourite growth stocks eg CAT and SPZ. For those following Aurizon, what do you think? It appears to exhibit low volatility, a solid dividend and is also exposed to the predicted strength in commodities including copper.
