"Calix files a new patent for zero emissions iron and steel"

The company will begin testing a new application of its core kiln technology in the production of steel and iron, called "ZESTY" (zero emissions steel technology). While this sounds promising its still a long way from being commercialized and material. This shows a broad use case for Calix CO2 reducing kiln technology. Calix have a number of exciting technologies being worked on & is in a strong position to capture lots of funding and deals from govt and private sector. This gives me confidence that one or two of these technologies make it through to commercialization the pay off will be large. In saying that I think the valuation is pretty out there with a lot of hype at the moment, so some success is already baked in.

Calix has executed an MOU for UK Lime calciner project with Tarmac.

Phase 1 feasibility study if successful will lead to a phase 2 FEED targeting a Q2 2022, with an 18 month construction to follow.

This is a similar MOU to the deal with Adbri. Lots of hoops to jump through still for this.

There has been a lot of newsflow coming out of Calix in the last few weeks. While these deals are all great signs, nothing is material yet. Very hard to gauge the value in all these deals. 

Calix SPP heavily oversubscribed. The company was looking to raise $3mil and have decided to accept $5mil after nearly $20mil in subscriptions were recieved. This follows the $14mil placement to sophisticated and professional investors completed in March 2021. 

The extra 2.5mil shares will begin trading tomorrow. 

Calix technology to be piloted in Novel energy storage system with Swedish company, SaltX.

1H FY21 Results.
Highlights:-

• Total sales revenue up 151% on PCP to $9.21m
• Total revenue and other income up 114% on PCP to $16.27m
• Operating profit of $3.06m (1H FY20 Loss of $0.25m)
