13 August, 2021 - Melbourne, Australia - PointsBet Holdings Limited (ASX: PBH) today
announced its wholly owned subsidiary PointsBet West Virginia LLC has received regulatory
approval from the West Virginia Lottery Commission and has launched online sports betting
operations in West Virginia. West Virginia marks the seventh operational state for PointsBet’s
premium sports betting product, following successful launches in New Jersey, Iowa, Indiana,
Illinois, Colorado, and Michigan. PointsBet also currently operates iGaming in New Jersey and
Michigan.

PointsBet gained access to the Mountain State via an agreement with Penn National Gaming
in July 2019.

PointsBet also plans launch its proprietary online casino product in West Virginia by the end
of calendar year 2021, subject to necessary licensure.

July, 2021 - Melbourne, Australia - PointsBet Holdings Limited (ASX: PBH) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary PointsBet New Jersey LLC (the “Company”) hasbeen authorised by the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) to commence iGaming operations and has launched its proprietary iGaming platform in that state.

The launch of iGaming operations in New Jersey follows PointsBet’s inaugural iGaming launch in Michigan on 5 May 2021.

iGaming revenues in the United States have grown exceptionally since the repeal of Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in May 2018. Across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia (all states in which PointsBet has iGaming market access), iGaming revenues reached nearly US$900 million in the June 2021 quarter which if annualised would equate to greater than US$3.5 billion per annum.

New Jersey iGaming revenues in particular have grown at a CAGR of 25% from 2014 to 2018, with revenues having subsequently grown at 62% and 101% in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Appointment of Scott Vanderwel as Chief Executive Officer, PointsBet Canada

PointsBet also announced today that it has appointed Scott Vanderwel as Chief Executive Officer for PointsBet Canada, effective 17 August 2021.

Vanderwel previously served as Senior Vice President for Rogers Communications, where he oversaw corporate strategy, operational improvement, and digital operations. Prior to his time with Rogers, Vanderwel led the Canadian practice for Monitor Group, a global business strategy consultancy, later acquired by Deloitte. Vanderwel’s appointment follows earlier senior hires for PointsBet’s distinct Canadian operation – including adding Nic Sulsky as Chief Commercial Officer and Chantal Cipriano as Vice President, Legal, Compliance & People – and is further evidence of PointsBet’s commitment to launching its market-leading products and services in Canada.

PointsBet and Cliff Castle Casino Hotel Partner to Pursue Online Sports Betting License in Arizona

20 July, 2021 - Melbourne, Australia - PointsBet Holdings Limited (ASX: PBH) today announced its wholly owned subsidiary PointsBet Arizona LLC (the “Company”) has entered into an exclusive agreement with Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, a Subordinate Economic Organization of the federally recognized Yavapai-Apache Nation, to pursue online sports betting market access in Arizona.

Online sports betting was legalised by Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey in April 2021. The Sports Wagering Act now paves the way for up to 20 sportsbooks to operate in Arizona, with both professional sports franchises and tribal casinos being eligible to apply for a licence.

Key features of the agreement

  • The exclusive agreement involves PointsBet and the Yavapai-Apache Nation partnering to pursue a ‘first skin’ licence to operate online sports betting in Arizona via PointsBet’s mobile app and website platforms pending final licensure.
  • The term of the agreement is 10 years.
  • PointsBet will pay to the Yavapai-Apache Nation a market access fee as well as a portion of the Net Gaming Revenues derived from the online sportsbook operations. PointsBet will also allocate an agreed amount to create a Pointsbet branded retail sportsbook at the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel to be operated by the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
  • PointsBet will be responsible for the licensing and regulatory costs in connection with launching and operating the PointsBet services.
  • PointsBet has also agreed to make an annual donation to a public interest fund designation by the Yavapai-Apache Nation that benefits the youth of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

17 November, 2020 - Melbourne, Australia - PointsBet Holdings Limited (ASX: PBH) (the “Company”) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, PointsBet Colorado, LLC (“PointsBet”) has launched in the State of Colorado and has taken the first bet.

This represents the Company’s fifth online sportsbook operation in the United States. The next launch is planned for Michigan in Q3 FY21. Michigan will also see the inaugural launch of PointsBet’s iGaming product.
