As a current user of the website, I've already developed strong negative connotations towards using it. I've been content to be a referee for employees over the years, but this is the first time I've regretted it.

I've had daily emails hounding me to finalise what I feel is an unpaid essay on a new employers potential candidate. I have mixed emotions on providing good feedback to the multitude of questions vesus placing quick short responses which are likely to be less beneficial for the candidate.

Yes, potentially excellent for Xref & the Xref customers, who push a large amount of (unpaid) work onto the referees. But for me going forward, I'm content to be a referee, as long as don't have to find and spend a large amount of my personal time filling in 15+ detailed questions, especially for what I would consider an entry level position.
