So I've been looking to invest in jumbo, and I like only to invest in companies that I believe could become the best at something, don't like investing in companies that at best could be the 2nd best leader in an industry. look on a strong competitive position ie product, strategy.

Was very interested in Jumbo but it seems that the lott has far better brand and customer penetration. I used a website analyser to compare the 2 websites and I found that jumbo over the last 3 months had 4.2M visits while the lott had 35M visits. great room for jumbo to grow but a huge issue was SEO and organic traffic. The lott's most popular keyword search that ended in a site visit was 'the lott' -301k, 'Powerball' 181k and 'lotto'- 123k. additionally 97% of their traffic was from search and 3% from paid advertising. oz lotteries most popular search term that ended up in a website visit was 'powerball' 59k 'oz lotteries'- 37k and 'lotto' 13k with 72% organic and 28% paid. most customers that are visiting oz lotteries aren't searching for thier website but a related term, while the lott gets most of its traffic from searches for their actual website.

this data shows to me if true that the lott has far better brand awareness and active customers which are not only resulting in them having more regular customers but having higher search results for related searches driving further site visits- network effects

like the saas business, but with all competitive advantages favouriting their major competitor considerably, need to find a potent marketing strategy to reverse my thesis
