I don't share the frustration financially as others.. Pointerra are growing very well, cash receipts are increasing Q on Q.. They are largely funding their organic growth...
I think we really need to look at their business...
- Clearly winning in utilities particularly in the States
- Making strong headway in government rail contracts in NSW and Vic (Easily scalable throughout the world)
- Clear vision to increase AEC side of business by leveraging development work with Jacobs
- Very enthused about the partnerships
- Nearmap integration - clear leader in photogrammetry
- Pointfuse, meshing software big in BIM, AEC and utilities - looks to be a good fit
- Cyclomedia, street lidar (Point cloud) and images. Easy shared viewing on pointerra
- Emesent, SLAM lidar hardware provider
- Here, Also street point cloud library from road
- They want an acquisition in oil and gas to get traction?
- Still advancing in Mining
A really good business update ! they seem to know what they want to do and are getting it done ?
If you do some googling of some lidar suppliers and some other similar solution providers it seems pointerra marketing is a little behind ?... But no one can provide the solutions at scale they can - not even Esri Arc GIS (please prove me wrong)
I think we will see headcount increase a little, marketing costs increase in new regions...
One day everything will be scanned - where will you store it ? is it easy to access, is it easy to shear, is it scalable , who will win the race for smarts ? (those that scale quick) ... 3DP tick these box's ....
